Tata Nano could soon be seen zipping along Brazil streets

Tata Nano may not be one of the most desired small cars in India as of now though it can surely grown some followers in far off Brazil.
Antonio Augusto Anastasia, the Governor of Minas Derias is on a state visit to India which goes on for 8 days. It was during this visit that he has met Rata Tata in Mumbai and expressed his desire to introduce the nano in the South American nation. Mina Derias is known to be the second most populous state in Brazil.
At a CII event Mr. Antonio Augusto Anastasia stated, “take Tata Nano to Brazil.”
Earlier this year Tata Motors the maker of the Nano have started shipping completely built units (CBU) to Sri Lanka and Nepal. For other countries the company plans to take the completely knocked down units (CKD) route and assembling the same abroad.
The other points in the agenda for Anastasia were issues relating to investments areas like automobiles, aeronautics and IT. This could further the bond between the two countries in the economics field too.
At a function he mentioned, “Brazil and India already have good relationships. We want to strengthen them lot more. We invite big corporate to invest there.”
He also invited company like Infosys to Brazil for opening up centers there.
For the year 2010-11 the bilateral trade between India and Brazil stands at USD 7.51 billion
