Golden Nano security costs Tata Motors Rs. 1 lakh/day

Tata group’s GoldPlus brand of jewellery paid homage to the Indian jewellery by launching the new GoldPlus Nano — a specially crafted version of the Nano that is made of pure gold and silver while also donning several precious stones as well. The intricately carved artifact has fascinated and enthralled visitors from not only in India but also the world over.
The golden Nano’s value is not Rs. 1 lakh but a whooping Rs 23 crores. Identifying the marketing potential, Tata motors would launch this golden nano and would be displayed across several cities in India within 90 days period.
This latest release was displayed recently in the Nellore district of Andhra Pradesh. According to some sources, the company is spending a whopping Rs 1 lakh per day for the GoldPlus Nano’s security as a result of its enormous price tag. This works out to spending almost the equivalent of the country’s cheapest car — a regular Nano to secure what can be termed the most expensive car ever launched in India — the GoldPlus Nano.
Tata group chairman Ratan Tata introduced GoldPlus Nano in a ceremony in Mumbai. It is homage to 5,000 years of jewellery of India. The GoldPlus Nano is the most expensive car ever launched in India unlike the regular Nano which is the cheapest car not only in India but is also cheapest in the world.
