New Tata Nano diesel likely to be seen at the Delhi International Auto Expo
The craze for diesel cars is increasing by the day. Folks these days are more inclined towards small cars that run on diesel than those which run on petrol. The hike in petrol prices and diesel being comparatively less costly is actually what is making cars running on diesel the more attracting option. People around the country these days are enquiring about cars especially Nano that run over diesel. Tata Motors, with significantly more expertise in diesel engine technology is all too wary of that and has stated the diesel version of Nano would most probably be launched by the first few months of 2012. A number of updates have been made in the existing model of Nano. The new one comes with a new diesel engine; the interior seat cushioning and upholstery have also been improved. Fresh color combinations are available for both interior and exterior parts. The power steering and suspension systems have also been improved.
The new Diesel model of Nano would be unveiled in the most awaited Delhi International Auto Expo in January next year. This little wonder is expected to attract a number of folks due to the ever increasing petrol prices. That’s not all since a diesel Nano is also expected to break all existing fuel economy records. Though there are no official fuel economy figures revealed of the Diesel Nano as yet, that it would be significantly better than that of it Petrol Nano counterpart is a certainty.
The petrol version of this launch came out in 2009. Since then the company has seen many ups and downs. There has been a huge variation in the sales of the cars. The company managed to sell 9000 units of car in July 2010 whereas in November the sales decreased to 509 units only. Tata Motors is hoping the new improved Nano along with the Diesel version will bring the Nano back in the market in a big way.
