The folks at the NID had sent a proposal for an industry-institute partnership and the good news is, Tata motors have finally agreed to join hands.

Some reports have revealed that the sales have declined at an alarming rate. Sanand factory is already running on sales that are even lower than the decided 50 percent. The sales should have been 2.50 lakh cars a year as set earlier.
The reports have also claimed that both of them are being benefitted by the partnership.
The director of NID Prof PradyumnaVyas boasted that theirs is an institute that possesses a world-class design. According to him NID has a world-class academic course at the post-graduate level and latest facilities in transportation and automobile designing. The other courses that are also offered by the institute like textile design, product design and lifestyle accessories may also prove to be advantageous in Nano’s design. He also revealed that the reason behind their partnership is that Tata Motors has led the development of an automobile hub in Gujarat with many global and national companies setting up shop in the western Indian state.
